March 23. What I love about Africa:
- My Earthwatch teammates
- The warm sunshine
- That zebra that wakes us up at night
- The beautiful night sky
- The homemade bread in Lewa
- The smiles of the Samburu children
- Those big, round Grevy zebra ears
- The beautiful birds
What I’m looking forward to in New Jersey:
- Hot showers
- Something cold to drink—with ice cubes
- My dog, Kiva
- Fast, reliable internet access
- A good night’s sleep
About me
- Hi! My name is Shayne Russell, and I'm the Library Media Specialist at Kenneth R. Olson Middle School in Tabernacle, NJ. Come along with me on an adventure to Kenya, Africa! We will be working as volunteer researchers, side-by-side with scientists who are studying the endangered Grevy's Zebra. Let's see what research looks like... outside of the library!
